Chicagoland resident Anja Englert was capturing video footage of a violent storm as she drove near Irving Park Road and I-90.  By chance, she happened to catch the exact moment when a lightning bolt struck (and PULVERIZED!) a nearby telephone pole.  The video is incredible.

And, best of all, there’s a version on YouTube that replays the moment in slow-mo so that you can see the literal explosion of electricity, fire, and wood shards in all of its glory.
