At noon, the City of Chicago and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events hosted an event to dedicate the piece of art to the blues legend. A special performance by Muddy Waters Legacy Band featuring Muddy’s sons Mud and Big Bill Morganfield and former band members, John Primer, Rick Kreher, Studebaker John, Edward McDaniel, Donny Nichilo and Kenny “Beedy Eyes” Smith also took place at the free ceremony.
