After decades of touring, Steve Winwood is releasing a ‘Live’ album.  The collection will include songs he’s been performing over the last 50-plus years.  Some from his solo career and others from his days with Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, and Blind Faith.

In an interview with Billboard, Winwood said, “Obviously when I’m playing live shows I’m expected to play a lot of things, but what I’ve tried to do with the people in the various bands I’ve played with, particularly with the band I’ve been working with the last 10, 15 years or so, is we try and reinvent some of the songs that I’m known for and I’m expected to play.”

Winwood is also working on some new songs, but had no mention of a release date for that. However, the 23 song set of Steve Winwood’s Greatest Hits Live will be out September 1st.  Until then, you can hear the live version of “Can’t Find My Way Home,” on Billboard.com.
