HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICK JAGGER!!!
Mick is not only celebrating his birthday but he’s also checking on plans which are slowly coming together for a prospective Rolling Stones jukebox musical for Broadway, according to The Toronto Sun. A source close to the project shed light on the progress of the musical: “The workshops are being kept very much under wraps and only incredible talent is being invited to attend. The idea came from top theater execs who know the concept of a Stones musical has the potential to be a worldwide hit. No title or any word regarding the story line has been announced.
Joe Walsh says reaction to his upcoming Vets-Aid concert has been just what he hoped it would be, with support coming from military channels as well as the government.
His new nonprofit organization is designed to help military veterans and their families. Walsh says, “I looked at Willie Nelson and Farm Aid as a role model. They do it every year and it draws people together, and drawing people together where they realize they’re not alone, to me, is strategic in healing.” Walsh went on to say, “It’s a real guitar gunslingers battle, and I think after everybody’s plays, we’ll get onstage and have a go at each other. It really feels great to me, and hopefully we’ll do this every year.”
The concert will take place in Fairfax, Virginia on September 20.
