PAWS Chicago has managed to rescue more than 40 dogs and cats from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. In preparing to perform these efforts, Paula Fasseas of PAWS Chicago told the Chicago Tribune, “We could easily bring in from 60 to 100. We’ve got the space for that. They need help and we’re going to continue. This is going to be a huge influx. When these waters go down, we’re anticipating a lot of homeless animals and people giving up pets.”
Fasseas flew to Houston last week to arrange the safe transport of these animals without a home. Now, you can help. These animals need homes. Head over to PAWSChicago.org [or click here] to adopt one of these dogs or cats. The organization is also taking donations for the relief effort.
