Muralist Paints For Young Cubs Superfan With Cancer

Cubs Super-fan, Joey Ventimiglia came home to find a beautiful Cubs mural painted in his room.  Joey was away for treatment on his rare form of cancer while muralist and owner of Crayons Gone Wild, Ken Markiewicz painted his room.  Markiewicz had heard of Joey’s situation after the story was shared on WGN.  In the story, they covered his DIPG, a rare tumor that sets in the brain stem.  They also shared Joey’s love for the Chicago Cubs.  About the piece and Joey, Markiewicz said, “When he was naming the Cubs players just by looking at their numbers… I thought, I have to do a mural…right away, I have a vision for that.”

His battle against cancer continues and he can use the support.  Visit Joey Ventimiglia’s GoFundMe to donate.

The Cubs enter the play-offs tonight (October 6th).
