Farewell to the Oasis that would welcome you to O’Hare International Airport. This weekend will mark its last that its open to the public. The iconic overhead local between Rosemont and Oak Lawn has for over 50 years served as a rest stop for those preparing for travel, waiting to pick up loved ones and weary travelers alike.
The O’hare Oasis is being torn down so the tollway below may be expanded by one lane. This Labor Day weekend will serve its final weekend in service.
