The Traveling Wilburys’ debut album set for 30th anniversary vinyl reissue

The commemoration of the Traveling Wilburys‘ debut album Vol. 1 turning 30, a newly remastered vinyl edition will be released on November 2nd. The Wilburys included George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, ELO‘s Jeff Lynne, and Roy Orbison. Orbison died only two months after Volume 1 was released and still riding highh on the charts. According to the press release, “Craft Recordings’ 30th-anniversary 12-inch picture-disc features the band’s bold logo on the A-side with the B-side displaying an Alberto Tolot photo of the Wilburys, and a die-cut sleeve revealing the picture disc in all its glory.”

Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 was released on October 18th, 1988 and peaked at Number Three on the Billboard 200 album charts. Vol. 1 has since been certified triple platinum. In 1990, Vol. 1went on to score the Traveling Wilburys their only Grammy for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group.
