Illinois had the second highest number of people moving out of the state in 2018

Bad news for our state: a report released by United Van Lines says that Illinois was the second highest amount of people moving out in 2018. Only New Jersey beat out Illinois for the dishonorable number 1 title. You can likely attribute high taxes for driving so many out of the state. Last year Arizona, Idaho, Nevada and Oregon were among the states that welcomed the highest amounts of new residents.
