Lionel Richie has just announced a 32-date spring and summer trek, dubbed the “Hello Tour.” Richie kicks things off on May 28th in Sugar Land, Texas at Smart Financial Centre and winds things down on August 30th in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Minnesota State Fair. Along the way, Richie will be playing high profile gigs at New York’s Radio City Music Hall and L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl. All online tickets purchased for the tour will include a CD copy of Richie’s new album, Live From Las Vegas, which will be released on August 23rd.
Richie said in a statement announcing the tour: “I am so excited to bring my Live From Las Vegas album to life and to share it with my fans. Also, I’m really looking forward to going on tour and performing for everyone this summer — it’s going to be one big party.”
The new Live From Las Vegas was recorded at Zappos Theater at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, features such Commodores and Richie solo classics as “All Night Long,” “Say You, Say Me,” “Hello,” “Dancing On The Ceiling,” “Truly,” “Three Times a Lady” “Brick House,” “Sail On,” and “Easy” — along with a new take on his USA For Africa hit “We Are The World.”
