The just-ended Memorial Day weekend is the traditional start of summer, and a new survey from Discover found that more Americans will be traveling for a summer vacation this year, with 71 percent planning to do so, up from 58 percent last year. Most are planning shorter trips of one to three days, with 55 percent saying this is how long their vacation will be, while 21 percent said their vacations will be four to six days long, 12 percent said they’ll be a week, six percent said eight to 13 days, and five percent said their vacations will be two weeks or more.
