FedEx announced yesterday (May 30th) that it’s going to start making deliveries seven days a week starting in January, which will increase its ability to keep up with the continuing strong growth in online shopping. FedEx just expanded to six-days-a-week delivery last September, and is now adding Sunday delivery in urban and suburban areas that make up most of the U.S. population. President and Chief Operating Officer Raj Subramaniam said, “Consumers want packages over the weekend. As soon as we went to six-day, we started hearing about seven-day.”
