Rare ‘Black Moon’ will take place tonight

Look up in the sky tonight (July 31st) and you will see the rare celestial phenomenon known as a Black Moon.  Like when the Blue Moon represents the first full moon in a month, a Black Moon refers to the second new moon of the month.  Only North America will be viewing this rare display in the sky tonight, while the rest of the world gets their own Black Moon on August 30th.

Tonight’s moon will also be a Super Moon, which makes this a Super Black Moon.  With a name like that, you might as well make a wish when you view it; it might come true!
