Sony and Marvel worked out their differences so that a third Spider-Man movie will land with Spidey still a full-fledged member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Under the deal, the studio and Marvel will co-produce the next installation. Furthermore, Spidey will appear in another future Marvel film.
Marvel’s chief, Kevin Feige, will produce and run creative on the new Spider-Man.
When the “break-up” was first announced, fans were devastated, and while Tom Holland (Spidey) didn’t directly address the issue, his feelings were clear. While promoting his new movie Onward, he said at Pixar’s D23 presentation: “It’s been a crazy week, but I want to let you know I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart. I love you 3,000.”
And now that the marriage is back on, he made his feelings crystal clear, posting a clip from The Wolf of Wall Street on Instagram, in which Leo DiCaprio’s character Jordan Belfort says: “You know what. I’m not leaving. I’M NOT F***ING LEAVING.”
Meanwhile, Holland’s co-star Zendaya shared a GIF of a dancing Spider-Man.
