So, the good news is this isn’t another Sears Tower/Willis Tower situation. The Museum of Science and Industry is undergoing a name-change. It IS keeping the “Museum of Science and Industry” in it’s title. It will now however be called, “The Kenneth C. Griffin Museum of Science and Industry.” The name change comes as the museum has received it’s largest donation from The Kenneth C. Griffin Charitable Fund. So, how much does it cost to change the name of an iconic Chicago Museum? Well, the charity donated $125 Million Dollars. The donated amount will go toward MSI’s new Pixel Studio. Thanks for the donation, but that title is TOO LONG for me!
