Three Chicago-Area Restaurants featured ‘Yelp’s list of America’s Top 100 Places to Eat in 2020’

Think about how many restaurants there are in Chicago… Now, think about how many there are in Illinois.  Lot’s right?  NOW, think about how many there are in the U.S.!  To give you an idea, there are WAY more than 100, so you’ve got to be damned good to land on a top 100 list for the entire United States of America.

Well, Chicago managed to find representation on Yelp’s list of America’s Top 100 Places to Eat in 2020 not once, but TWICE.  And, this list wasn’t compiled by some critic or food connoisseur… it comes from the reviews of it’s users.  So, who do we like?

In the top 1/3rd of this list at number 33 was Nini’s Deli in West Town.  The place is known for it’s sandwiches, empanadas, coffee & tea and fair prices.  Some reviews include, “Great, local spot,” and, “First time at ninis and it was delicious!”  Check out their reviews for some really yummy looking pictures…

Wanting a really good breakfast?  One of my FAVORITE breakfast foods is crepes.  While I haven’t been to this one, I definitely need to check out Gotta B Crepes in Evanston.  HOLY CATS!!  The wide variety of crepes on their website is amazing!  From savory to sweet, this is an anytime treat!

Finally, Healthy Substance landed at number 57.  The Garfield Ridge restaurant is for the vegan and vegetarian in your life.  Before you roll your eyes, as someone who’s eaten veggie dishes in the company of vegetarians, I’m always open to the wide varieties of food I wouldn’t have gotten to try if I just went for my usual cheese burger.  Healthy Substance spices up an interesting Mexican menu with healthy and delectable tastes that you would never have sampled at Taco Bell.

I hope your New Years resolution was to eat out more…
