Producer Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that Harrison Ford would be back for “Indiana Jones 5”. She said they’re still working on getting the script where they want it to be, but that it’s coming along.
She said, quote, “It’s not a reboot. It’s a continuation… [Harrison] can’t wait.” Steven Spielberg is directing the movie, and it’s expected to hit theaters in July of 2021.
We last saw Indiana Jones in the “the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” in 2008. In that film, we met Indy’s son Mutt (played by Shia LaBouf) and saw Indy marry his love interest from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Marion Ravenwood. With little details about the upcoming film known, it’s not confirmed if either of these characters will return.
