Just days after the series finale of “Modern Family” finished shooting, Stella the French bulldog passed away. There’s no word on the cause of death.
Stella’s real name was Beatrice. On the show, she was the beloved pet of Jay Pritchett, played by Ed O’neill.
Stella was first introduced in Season 2, but at the time she was played by a different dog, named Brigitte. Beatrice took over in Season 4, back in 2012, after a dispute between the producers and Brigitte’s owner.
