This is day two of Metra shutting down train service. In an attempt to secure downtown Chicago, to slow the movement of rioters and looters, and protect passengers and workers, Metra has canceled all trains for today, Tuesday, June 2nd.
For the safety of the public and our employees, Metra is suspending all service on Tuesday, June 2. We will provide updates on Tuesday about Wednesday service.

After the continuation of protests and riots, the train service decided this the best course of action. Metra will update in regards to Wednesday service. A number of CTA trains and buses have been suspended as well.
