Once their coronavirus-suspended season resumes, the NBA is aiming to begin its playoffs on August 18th, with September 30th as the first day of the NBA Finals, according to a report by The Athletic. The league’s Board of Governors approved a plan last week to resume the season on July 31st with a 22-team format under which teams will play an eight-game slate of games that will help determine playoff seeding. There could then be a play-in tournament for the final spot in the Eastern and Western Conferences for the postseason.
