Restaurant uses ghosts to fill empty seats

If it takes a haunting to remind people to social distance, so be it. Trattoria Da Liugi in Royal Oak, Michigan recently reopened following the pandemic lockdown, and they’ve put homemade ghosts at various tables to keep customers apart.

Restaurant owner Luigi Cutraro said he didn’t like the idea of completely removing tables to keep people properly distanced, so he created the ghosts instead. He says the ghosts are not a permanent addition, and were inspired by a recent visit to the city’s downtown area during the lockdown, when the Cutraro family noted the city looked like a ghost town.
