WATCH Illusionist David Blaine fly 25,000 feet into the air using 52 big balloons

Illusionist David Blaine flew nearly 25,000 feet up into the air using 52 big balloons yesterday (September 2nd) in scene that looked like he’d brought part of the animated movie Up to life. Blaine broadcast the feat on YouTube, getting up to 24,900 feet of altitude before detaching himself from the balloons and parachuting down.

Blaine did his stunt in Arizona, but his original plans had actually  been to do it over the Hudson River. Variety said that Blaine had dreamed of floating in the air using balloons since seeing the short film, The Red Balloon, as a kid.
