Gasoline is cheaper today than it has been for many a Labor Day, a survey by Triple-A shows. Better yet, prices are expected to stay at a bargain level for the rest of 2020. The average is $2.22 per gallon for regular, compared to $2.57 a year ago.
The average has dropped below $2 in eight other states too, including Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi and Tennessee.
