Move over candy canes and gingerbread houses, because the people of the state of Illinois are craving some chocolate! According to a study conducted by Zippia, Illinoisans LOVE their chocolate Santa’s. The study followed Google trends and overwhelmingly, people were searching out these jolly old people-shaped candy.
The state’s unique in their preference of sweets, across the country, people were mostly searching for fudge, peppermint bark, cheesecake, and gingerbread. Our neighbors to the north and east pulled away from national trends as well: Wisconsinites most searched for Andes Peppermints and Indiana residents wanted pudding!
