Historic Long Grove bridge hit by truck for the 13th time since summer

If you’re driving a truck it’s important to pay attention to road signs!

A box truck recently crashed into a historic Illinois bridge with a low clearance, and it was the 13th such incident since the bride was reopened following repairs in 2020. Witnesses say they saw the truck approaching the bridge on Robert Parker Coffin Road in Long Grove, and it was pretty obvious it was going to collide with the bridge cover.

One of the witnesses even caught the accident on video.

According to UPI, The Lake County Sheriff’s Office says Monday’s crash, February 1st, did not cause any serious damage to the structure.
