4th of July Fireworks at Navy Pier are NOT happening this year

Even though everything’s reopening, not everything is returning this year.

Last year, we found out around this time that Navy Pier‘s 4th of July fireworks show was canceled, due to the pandemic.  This year, the Navy Pier fireworks show won’t be happening again for another relatable reason: there’s no time to prepare!

According to NBC Chicago, the iconic tour spot can’t be ready in time to accommodate the massive amount of guests the 15-minute show would draw.

But, the Pier will continue it’s Wednesday and Saturday firework displays on July 7th.  So it can still feel like summer at the pier!
