17 years ago this week, the Dave Matthews Band tour bus dumped 800 of…POO…into the Chicago River, off the Kinzie Street Bridge. You may remember, that waste landed on a tour boat, passing under the bridge at that unfortunate moment. The band paid out $300,000 for the incident. Hopefully that made them realize this disgusting shortcut was not worth it…
Anyway, you would think that someone would want to completely avoid that PR nightmare. But, frontman, Dave Matthews had other plans this week.
He actually dined on the Chicago River at RPM Seafood. This was on the 7th, one day before the 17th anniversary of his smelly deed. He had steak that night to… celebrate? Commemorate?
