Monty and Rose need your help…

Chicago Piping Plovers is looking for 20 volunteers to watch over the Montrose Beach nests of our hometown Piping Plovers, Monty and Rose.

Those volunteers will watch over the nests for 2 hours a day, to keep the eggs and eventual chicks safe from any predators. The Piping Plovers are a federally endangered species and there are only an estimated 70 couples of plovers around the Great Lakes.

Head over to chicagopipingplovers.org for more information and to sign up to help Monty, Rose, and their babies!
