Mayor Lightfoot announced that Lollapalooza is staying in Chicago for at least 10 more years

Lollapalooza closed its wrapped up yesterday… and will return next 10 years. The city of Chicago negotiated a deal with C3 Presents that will keep the music playing in Grant Park for another decade.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot was excited to make the announcement on Sunday. C3 seemed pretty pleased too, with Charlie Walker, a partner at C3 Presents, making the following statement in a news release: “There are now a total of eight Lollapaloozas on four continents, but Chicago remains the center of the Lollapalooza universe. With the world’s best artists, amazing fans, and our incredible partners in the city of Chicago, we are excited to continue to deliver an unmatched festival experience in Grant Park for the next decade.”
