Did you know Chicago has its own Quidditch Team?

Sure you might be able to say you’ve read all of the Harry Potter books and watched every Potter film… but can you really call yourself a fan if you’re not playing the game?

That game being, Quidditch! And Chicago has its own Quidditch team.

Quidditch, for those who don’t know, is the high-flying sport in which two teams fly around on brooms and toss balls into goal hoops while dodging other players and spellbound aggressive balls… That’s a very dumbed-down description of the sport.

So, how does one play this game in reality? Well, there are sticks used for brooms and there’s no flying. Instead, the game is more similar to soccer. They call it Quadball and teams play it in a league throughout Chicagoland.

And they’re looking for players now!

If you’re interested in joining this wizardry game, you can get info on Facebook at Chicago United Quadball Club, or email the league at [email protected].
