Sammy Hagar co-wrote a Song with Eddie Van Halen after Seeing Him in a Dream

Sammy Hagar wrote a song with Eddie Van Halen called “Thank You”.  But they didn’t write it together before Eddie died.  It’s based on a guitar lick Eddie showed him in a DREAM.

He says Eddie told him, “Man, let’s write some music!”  And Sammy replied, quote, “Yeah, [eff] it, man.  Here, let’s go!”

When he woke up, Sammy used what Eddie showed him and wrote the rest of the song.  And he says when he releases it, he’ll give Eddie a writing credit and possibly donate the proceeds to charity.

And Sammy would like you to know that this is NOT a gimmick.  Quote, “I feel so embarrassed about it because everyone’s going to say, ‘Oh, look at Sammy trying to capitalize on Eddie.’

“No, I’m not.  You don’t understand.  This was a real [effin’] dream, and I told you exactly what happened in it.”
