Remember MoviePass? It was a deal too good to be true: $9.95 per month to see one movie per day in theaters. It didn’t last because it just lost a ton of money for its proprietors.
But, that didn’t keep MoviePass away, as the app has officially relaunched as a Beta version in 3 major cities including Chicago. The new model offers $10 to $30 subscriptions that vary in credits. Credits get you movies. Off-peak movies cost fewer credits than those that play on Friday or Saturday nights.
We are proud to announce the first markets testing the MoviePass Beta App will be Chicago, Dallas, and Kansas City. Those on the MoviePass waitlist in these cities will receive further information on how the rollout will work in their city. See you at the movies! 🍿

The Beta version of MoviePass was a limited offer that is taking no additional customers. If things go well during this trial period, expect to see MoviePass available on your phones again all over the U.S.
