Chicago is already looking for this year’s Millennium Park Christmas Tree and you can nominate yours

Is it too soon to be thinking of Christmas? The City of Chicago doesn’t think so!

It’s the middle of September, so of course, it’s time to find a Christmas Tree. The City of Chicago is accepting nominations for their next Millennium Park Christmas Tree for the holiday season. Anyone within 50 miles of The Loop can submit their trees for consideration.

Chicago is looking for a Norway Spruce or Fir Tree that’s over 45 feet tall. Believe it or not, the city doesn’t want any pine trees! That’s because pine trees are considered to be not sturdy enough.

You can find info at chicago.gov and submit your tree at [email protected].
