A sheriff’s deputy completed a DoorDash order after the delivery driver was arrested on Wednesday, January 24, in Saint Charles, Illinois. Ring camera footage posted to Facebook by the Kane County Sheriff’s Office shows the deputy handing the DoorDash order to a resident. The resident asks if the driver was in an accident, and the deputy replies, “No, he got arrested, but we wanted to make sure you guys got your food.” Sheriff Ron Hain said, “My deputies always follow through.” #police #food #delivery #goodnews #deputies #doordash #news #ctvnews

“My deputies always follow through. After having to arrest a food delivery driver, he completed the order to ensure no one went hungry,” the Sheriff Ron Hain posted on their Facebook page.

In the video, a sheriff’s officer is seen ringing the doorbell of a home while holding a bag of food. A woman answers the door and the officer says, “He got arrested but we wanted to make sure you got your food.”

“You guys are amazing,” the woman said. “Thank you.”

Police said the driver was working for DoorDash and was arrested because he had a fictitious registration and no valid license or insurance. His vehicle was towed.
