NASCAR announces 2025 Chicago Street Race Weekend dates

It’s official: NASCAR will be racing in the streets of Chicago again next summer.

On Thursday, NASCAR announced that the third edition of Chicago Street Race Weekend will be back downtown from July 5-6, 2025, capping off the Fourth of July holiday.

The NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series will both race on the same 12-turn, 2.2-mile street course that they did earlier this summer in the second Chicago Street Race.

“The Chicago Street Race Weekend has quickly become one of the highlights of the Chicago summer calendar, so we are proud to bring NASCAR back to this great city for a third year in a row,” Julie Giese, Chicago Street Race President, said in a news release. “We look forward to continuing to build on the tremendous success of 2023 and 2024 to deliver one of the most unique sporting events in the country and continuing to help drive tourism to Chicago.”

The release says NASCAR is committed to Chicago year-round, with a full-time Chicago office and more than $5 million invested in local community initiatives year-to-date.

The Chicago Street Race announcement comes as part of Thursday’s overall NASCAR 2025 schedule release.

More information, including Chicago Street Race Weekend fan experiences and on-sale dates, will be announced in the near future, according to the release.
