A Chicago suburb has been named one of the top travel destinations in the world for 2025.

Just making the cut of the Top 50 is Oak Park, Illinois.

The near west suburb came in at Number 48 on Travel Lemming’s ranking for the year ahead. The site called Oak Park “stunningly beautiful” and gave a shoutout to both Ernest Hemingway and Frank Lloyd Wright.

Oak Park was right behind Cabrera in the Dominican Republic (at #47) and just above Cartagena, Spain.

Other U.S. locations on the list include Austin, Texas at #12, Rochester, New York at #15, Page, Arizona at #17, Juneau, Alaska at #18, Butte, Montana at #20 Universal Orlando Resort in Florida at #23, Portland, Oregon at #25, Grand Valley, Colorado at #34, Harbor Springs, Michigan at #35, Bellingham, Washington at #43.

Number One on the list is Lombok, Indonesia.
