Concertgoers at the Salt Shed now have another way to catch a buzz thanks to a new collaboration with a Chicago-based cannabis company.
On Friday, Green Thumb Industries Inc. will open a new retail shop inside the Salt Shed that will sell hemp-derived THC Delta 9 products like candies and drinks.
“The space will sell Farm Bill-compliant hemp-derived Delta 9 THC (HD9) products, including incredibles gummies and chocolates, Beboe gummies, Señorita THC Margaritas, and exclusive merchandise,” a spokesperson from Green Thumb said.
The new first-of-its-kind shop is called RISE at Salt Shed and guests who visit the venue will have the chance to pick up products from Green Thumb brands as well as some merchandise and accessories.
According to Green Thumb, the new shop will be located in the Salt Shed’s Fairgrounds, located between the Shed and the Chicago River.
While concertgoers will have the unique opportunity to pick up THC products, the Salt Shed will limit what guests can bring inside the venue for personal use.
Green Thumb said the shop will encourage concertgoers to take advantage of pick-up options for after the shows or elevate their experience by picking up a Señorita THC Margarita inside the venue.
While RISE dispensaries around Illinois sell cannabis-derived products, the new shop at the Salt Shed is a retail shop that will sell hemp-derived THC products.
Officials from Green Thumb said the shop will be open to guests 21 and up and will only sell hemp-derived THC edibles and beverages will be sold.
