Cher is joining forces with Nile Rodgers & Chic for a 30-city 2019 “Here We Go Again” tour. The trek, which features separate sets by Cher and Rodgers, kicks off on January 17th in Ft. Myers, Florida at Germain Arena and runs through May 18th when it hits St. Paul, Minnesota’s Xcel Energy Center. Cher will be performing a string of her greatest hits — as well as tracks from her new ABBA covers collection, Dancing Queen, coming on September 28th.
Nile Rodgers — a member of both the Rock and Roll and Songwriters Hall of Fame — will always be best remembered for his and the late-Bernard Edwards‘ Chic classics “Le Freak,” “Dance, Dance, Dance,” and “Good Times” — along with writing and producing Sister Sledge‘s “We Are Family” and “He’s The Greatest Dancer,” as well as Diana Ross‘ “Upside Down” and “I’m Coming Out.” Rodgers went on to produce and perform on seminal albums by David Bowie, Madonna, Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, Debbie Harry, Duran Duran, Cyndi Lauper, Thompson Twins, David Lee Roth, George Michael — and many, many more.
Cher and Niles Rogers & Chic come to Chicago on February 8th when they play the United Center.
