You’ll want to lift your gaze to the skies on Friday night (November 22nd.) Scientists say that is when a “rare celestial event” will be visible. The alpha Monocertoid meteor shower is going to be at its most impressive since 1995.
The shower is the result of the Earth passing through the tail of a comet. Also known as a “Unicorn shower,” the meteors will appear in the sky near the Monoceros or Unicorn constellation– near Orion the Hunter. Experts say if the sky is clear you will be able to see the meteor shower starting about 10:50pm in the eastern parts of North America.
