However, Commissioner Roger Goodell told teams this week that adjustments to the schedule will be made if necessary. The regular season will open on Thursday, September 10th, with the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston, Texans.
Then a highlight of the opening weekend will be Tom Brady‘s new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, playing the New Orleans Saints, led by their own superstar quarterback, Drew Brees, on September 13th.
