Even in a pandemic, people still have to renew their vehicle registration stickers. Many have been doing so online at cyberdriveillinois.com, but for those who need to update current registration info, they’ll have to do it in person. Fortunately, that doesn’t mean waiting in a packed DMV.
Secretary of State Jesse White will open 7 drive-thru locations throughout Illinois where residents can renew those vehicle registration stickers. Three are opening in Chicago: 5301 W. Lexington St., 5401 N. Elston Ave. and 9901 S. King Dr., one in Macomb: 466 Deer Rd, one in Rockford: at 3720 E. State St., one in Springfield: at 2701 S. Dirksen Parkway and one in Tilton: #5 Southgate Dr.
Chicago sites will be open from Monday-Saturday. Monday and Saturday hours are 7:30AM to 6PM and Tuesdays through Fridays hours are 8AM to 5:30PM.
