For those who haven’t watched, “Cobra Kai,” yet, Daniel-san is back and this time… he’s not the protagonist! In 2018, YouTube Red produced a new TV series that follows Johnny Lawrence, the antagonist of the first “Karate Kid,” film, 34 years after he lost to Daniel in the All-Valley Karate Championship. And, it actually stars the original actors too: Ralph Maccio reprises his role as Daniel LaRusso and William Zabka as Johnny. Finishing it’s second season, the series based on the 80’s classic has garnered a lot of attention and praise.
Now, Netflix intends on continuing “Cobra Kai.” The first two series will move to the streaming giant’s service. Those will be joined by a Netflix-produced season 3. If you loved the movie, you’ll definitely want to check this series out!
