You can argue that the plastic, block toy from the ’80s is so iconic that it deserves its own film… or that Hollywood has run out of new ideas. Either way, a movie about the Rubik’s Cube is in the works. The project is being helmed by studios Hyde Park & Endeavor Content. Along with the feature film, the studios are creating a game show.
The toy from 1980 has sold over 450 million units and continues to find popularity and relevance in pop culture. The studios are hoping those consumers will also be audience to the upcoming projects.
