Happy birthday to singerr/songwriter and guitarist, Nancy Wilson.  The rock musician has been hard at work this year on her upcoming solo album.  The album will be a mix of originals and covers with team-up’s with rock notables including Sammy Hager, Liv Warfield of Prince’s New Power Generation, Guns N’ Roses‘ bassist, Duff McKagan and Foo Fighters‘ drummer, Taylor Hawkins.  The album is set for release on May 7th.

Nancy Wilson is best known for her work with her older sister, Ann Wilson, with the rock band, Heart.  Wilson and the band have given us many classic hits including “Barracuda,” “Crazy On You,” “Magic Man,” “Straight On,” “What About Love?” and “These Dreams.”

Nancy Wilson has also contributed her talents as part of the bands The Lovemongers and recently Roadcase Royale.
