There’s a new study out, which looked into the rudest cities in America. But they DIDN’T ask travelers. Instead, they surveyed 1,500 residents of the 30 largest metro areas in the U.S. and asked them about the rudeness level in THEIR OWN CITY.

So it turns out Chicagoans are impressed with the politeness of their fellow city dwellers because it was one of the 10 most polite major cities in the U.S.

Chicago came in at #6 on the list; the top 5 for politeness looked like this…

1. Austin
2. San Diego
3. Fort Worth, Texas
4. Nashville
5. Indianapolis

So, what cities are the rudest in the U.S.?..

1. Philadelphia
2. Memphis
3. New York City
4. Las Vegas
5. Boston

Again, this is their own residents calling them the rudest!
