Lynyrd Skynyrd is retiring from touring.  Singer Johnny Van Zant told a Florida newspaper, quote, “We’re still looking at hanging it up in the next year or so.”

Mainly it’s because the band’s last remaining original member, guitarist Gary Rossington, isn’t doing too well.  He’s only able to join the band for a few shows at a time.

But Johnny said musicians never truly retire, so he will probably still do something, even if it’s just writing music.
