Actors often learn a new skill when they take on a new role. Singing, dancing, horseback riding, ice skating. But this might be a first:
When Daniel Radcliffe got the lead in “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story”, he learned how to play the accordion.
He says, quote, “Nobody asked me to, by the way. It was entirely self-inflicted. I mean, if you’re playing Al, what else am I doing? You’ve got to make an honest attempt.”
He even got critiques from Weird Al himself. He says, quote, “My most common note was ‘Please pump more.'”
“Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” hits the Roku Channel on November 4th.
