No, Park Ridge is Not getting a Harrison Ford statue, and here’s why…

Bad news for Indiana Jones and Han Solo fans: The recent proposal to build a statue of Harrison Ford in Park Ridge has been rejected. And it does really make sense why…

For one, Harrison Ford was not born in Park Ridge! He was born in Morton Grove. The star did attend Park Ridge’s Maine Township High School, but he really doesn’t have fond memories of it. Apparently, he was bullied quite a bit in high school.

Another key decider on the statue is the cost. It would be $100,000 to $250,000 of the taxpayers’ dollars to build the proposed statue. They could get funding from private donors to help with the bill, but town leadership wasn’t wowed by the proposal.

So ultimately, the Park Ridge Harrison Ford statue is not happening.
