Journey’s Lead Singer Wants to Be Fired??

All is not well within the Journey-verse.  And it hasn’t been for a long time.

Founding guitarist Neal Schon and keyboardist Jonathan Cain have been at odds over several issues, like politics and who gets to spend the band’s money and how.

They’re doing a 50th-anniversary tour right now, and Neal has been wanting to get original keyboardist Gregg Rolie back.  But last month, his plans were vetoed.

At the time, Neal’s wife posted a message on Facebook saying that TWO members of the current lineup refused to let Gregg return.  She added, quote, “Let’s ask God to find a way for them.

“Let’s pray for forgiveness for those who hurt Gregg ROLIE and hope they learn what spirituality is someday.  We all love you!!”

It’s not clear what side Journey’s current singer, Arnel Pineda, is aligned with, but last weekend, he Tweeted this:  “I’m with the band to sing the legacy.

“If some of them are tired of me being with them, with all means, they can fire me anytime.  And don’t lecture me about spiritual BS.  #walkthetalk”

On Monday, he posted a picture of one of his kids on Facebook, and said, quote, “This boy is one of the main reasons why the very crappy part of my life right now is so worth it to go through.

“His beautiful smiling face gives me the kind of hope that makes me realize that #thistooshallpass.  I love you so much my boy.  You and your sister are worth dying for.”

Then yesterday, he Tweeted, quote, “So much hatred people.  We’re on the brink of World War 3.  Let’s just spread LOVE… don’t you think it’s better to die being loved than being hated?”
