This is a box of chocolates you’re not going to want to eat…

Not only because this box was featured in the 1994 film, Forrest Gump, but also because it’s not chocolate at all!

The prop box of chocolate from the Tom Hanks-starring, Robert Zemeckis film went up for auction. The winning bid came from Ripley’s Believe it or Not for $25,000.

The collector of oddities revealed what was inside the box… it’s sand! The sand was used to weigh down the chocolate box during the shooting of Forrest Gump to help stabilize the prop. That’s definitely not a sweet treat!
